RBG – Lead So Others will Join You

We honor the memory of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

We are bereft at her passing. As women, we have benefited from her work toward equal access to pay, education, voting, and healthcare for women – expressed in majority opinions and in the eloquent dissents that often laid the groundwork for future legislation and court cases. As women over 50, 60, 70, we lived through the time before. We will never forget the unfair limitations on our actions and aspirations. Her appointment to the Supreme Court in 1993 opened vistas and encouraged us. She is a role model of intelligence, eloquence, and determination. And now at her death, we are reminded that we are called to continue to work, to have hope, and to bring others along with us on the quest for equality. Her memory lives on in our actions. Let us honor Ruth’s memory today and into the future.
